R&C Psychiatry and Integrative Medicine is a whole-person psychiatric practice in Pembroke Pines, Florida, founded in 2022 by Dr. Roberto Carmona, DNP, PMHNP-BC. With 6 licensed providers and over 125 combined years of clinical experience, we combine advanced neuromodulation, medication management, and psychotherapy across our full range of mental health services to serve patients of all ages throughout Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Our bilingual team delivers evidence-based, trauma-informed care in both English and Spanish.
Our mission is to expand access to high-quality, compassionate mental health care. We deliver evidence-based services that promote stability, recovery, and a better quality of life through coordinated, patient-centered outpatient treatment. By integrating prescribers and therapists under one roof, we remove the barriers families often face when seeking timely psychiatric care. Our providers maintain active membership with the American Psychiatric Association and the Florida Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Roberto Carmona, founder of R&C Psychiatry and Integrative Medicine, shares his journey from being a GI specialist in Cuba to rebuilding his career in the U.S. after immigrating in 2009. Unable to revalidate his medical license, he pursued nursing at Florida International University, earning a Doctorate and dual certification as a Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
After an unexpected job loss in September 2022, he launched his own practice, which grew rapidly to 600 patients within a year. Today, R&C Psychiatry serves around 3,500 patients, hit $1M in profits in 2025, opened a second location in Doral, and is preparing to open a third in Palm Beach County.
He describes the practice as a family-centered, integrative mental health clinic that blends traditional psychiatry with innovative, whole-person care, and emphasizes that the future of psychiatry will be more tech-enabled but still rooted in the human therapeutic relationship.
